To add an expense you can choose between creating an expense module and attaching a new expense to it's category or create an independent expense item. The difference between the expense module and the independent expense is that you can group expenses under a module category and simply unpublish the module to hide all of the attached items when you need to exclude it. It is also a way to sort the expenses in the plan rendered list.

The expense module will offer a tag filter option to browse the expense items while an independent expense can use independently the filter feature without being attached. Additionally you can have both expense module with an expense item attached to it working with tags to browse uniquely for each expense item.

Expense modules will come with a cost and a scheduled period. Daily, Weekly, Monthly or Yearly are all period to which the cost is calculated and rendered on a daily basis under the plugins -> plan page. You may also hide or show the description, username, date or time depending on what you need to render on the printed version.
